<br />
Het noodzakelijke verbetertraject kwam echter niet van de grond omdat het inspectierapport voor een deel van het team moeilijk te aanvaarden was. In 2007 zocht de Rudolf Steinerschool aansluiting bij het bestuur van de stichting van vrije scholen Pallas (14 vrije scholen). Een interim-directeur werd aangesteld en het verbetertraject leek alsnog op gang te komen, het predicaat &lsquo;zeer zwak&rsquo; werd &lsquo;zwak&rsquo;.<br />
<br />
<span style="color:#000080;"><strong>Intensief toezicht</strong></span><br />
Maar toch stokte de vooruitgang en nog in juni 2011 constateerde de inspectie dat er flinke tekortkomingen waren. Het predikaat zwak bleef van toepassing en het geintensiveerde toezicht daarom gehandhaafd. Bovendien kreeg de school te horen dat uiterlijk in maart 2012 het onderwijs weer goed op de rails moest staan. Dat was geen onmogelijke opgave want de inspectie achtte het potentieel aan professionaliteit voldoende aanwezig.<br />
<br />
De inspanningen van team en interim-directeur Maria Duif (als algemeen directeur eerder ook verbonden aan vrije school De Driestroom in Den Bosch) hebben hun vruchten afgeworpen. De inspectie heeft nu vastgesteld dat het onderwijs weer op orde is. De perikelen hebben wel een negatieve invloed gehad op het aantal leerlingen. Dat daalde in vier jaar tijd van ongeveer 125 naar 76.<br />

Fontys heeft vacatures voor minimaal 13 professionals die als ict-docent aan de slag willen gaan.<br />
Deze ervaren ict&rsquo;ers moeten in staat zijn de lesstof op inspirerende wijze over te brengen, waarbij ze kunnen putten uit de praktijk van alledag. In het vakblad <a href="http://www.computable.nl/artikel/nieuws/loopbaan/4504227/1458016/fontys-zoekt-13-professionals-als-ictdocent.html">Computable </a>zegt Ad Vissers, directeur van de<a href="http://www.fontys.nl/fontys.hogeschool.ict.74702.aspx"> Fontys Hogeschool ICT, </a>daarover het volgende:<br />

&ldquo;Om ervoor te zorgen dat de inhoud van het onderwijs blijft aansluiten op wat bedrijven willen, werken we samen met ongeveer veertig &lsquo;Partners of Education&#39;&#39;, zegt Ad Vissers, directeur Fontys Hogeschool ICT. &lsquo;Ieder bedrijf adopteert een stuk onderwijs en voelt zich daar medeverantwoordelijk voor. Zo valideren we dat ons onderwijs aansluit bij actuele marktbehoeften.&#39; Fontys telt ongeveer tweeduizend studenten die ict doen.<br />
<br />
<span style="color:#000080;"><strong>ICT-academie Avans</strong></span><br />
De gemeente Breda, Ericsson, PharmaPartners, Valori en InfoSupport gaan een nauwe samenwerking aan met de <a href="http://www.avans.nl/smartsite.shtml?id=6968">ICT-academie </a>van Avans Hogeschool, melden ze in een persbericht. Dat gebeurt bijvoorbeeld door deelname in adviesraden, het mede-ontwikkelen en verzorgen van onderwijs, het geven van gastcolleges en actieve bemiddeling bij stageplaatsen voor zowel studenten als docenten zijn enkele voorbeelden van de wijze waarop de samenwerking invulling krijgt.<br />
<br />
Daarnaast kunnen de betrokken partijen een rol vervullen in het kritisch beoordelen van het onderwijsprogramma of het (mede-) beoordelen van studenten. Hierdoor draagt de samenwerking bij tot een betere aansluiting tussen theorie en praktijk, waardoor de afstand tussen het hoger beroepsonderwijs en het bedrijfsleven kleiner wordt.<br />
<br />
<span style="color:#000080;"><strong>Tekort aan technische studenten</strong></span><br />
Voor de partijen betekent het partnerschap bovendien dat zij de kans krijgen om in een vroeg stadium contacten te leggen en te onderhouden met potenti&euml;le medewerkers. Er dreigt een tekort aan technisch geschoold personeel waaronder ict-medewerkers. Zij nemen zo een bevoorrechte positie in bij de plaatsing van studenten die op zoek zijn naar een stage-, afstudeer- of duale plaats.<br />

            <title>Buitenlandse student waardeert Tilburgse universiteit</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<strong>TILBURG | NIEUWS | </strong>Buitenlandse studenten die een opleiding volgen aan de Tilburgse universiteit waarderen de kwaliteit van de colleges en de studeer en leefomgeving. Dat blijkt uit de International Student Barometer, een internationale enqu&ecirc;te onder studenten die niet in hun eigen land studeren.<br />
<br />
Gepeild is er onder 526 studenten van over de landsgrenzen die in 2011 in Tilburg zijn begonnen. Iets meer dan negentig procent van de ondervraagden gaf aan tevreden te zijn. Daarmee scoort Tilburg University goed in internationaal perspectief met plaats 33 op een lijst van 208 instellingen. Gemeten naar de resultaten van twaalf Nederlandse universiteiten belandt Tilburg op een derde plaats.<br />

De hoogste score gaven de studenten aan onderdelen van de ondersteuning bij aankomst. Zo zette de hulp bij het openen van een bankrekening, een project dat is opgezet met de Rabobank, Tilburg University op een landelijke eerste plaats. Hetzelfde deed de tevredenheid van internationale studenten over hun eerste overnachting in Tilburg.<br />
De International Student Barometer wordt uitgevoerd door iGraduate om zowel studenten als hoger onderwijsinstellingen een beeld te geven van de internationalisering van het hoger onderwijs.<br />
<br />
<span style="color:#000080;"><strong>Speerpunt</strong></span><br />
Het aantrekken van buitenlandse studenten is een van de speerpunten van de Tilburgse universiteit. Hiermee haakt men in op de trend dat universitair afgestudeerden op een internationale werkplek terecht komt.<br />
Op dit moment studeren er ongeveer 1150 internationale reguliere studenten in Tilburg, dat is ongeveer 8 procent van het totaal aantal studenten. Daarnaast komen er jaarlijks ongeveer 350 studenten naar Tilburg in het kader van uitwisselingen. Om de toegankelijkheid te bevorderen is een deel van het onderwijsprogramma in het Engels.<br />
